The TNBA Youth Scholarship Program apiary is located right here on Vista’s property — alongside Vista’s own working apiary — making this a truly local partnership rooted in education and stewardship.

About the Youth Scholarship Program
The Texas Natural Beekeepers Association Youth Scholarship Program introduces young people (ages 12–17) to the art and science of natural beekeeping. Open to students in Hays, Travis, Blanco, Caldwell, Williamson, Bastrop, and Bexar counties — with no prior beekeeping experience required — the program teaches participants to:
Understand honey bee biology
Build and manage an apiary
Identify swarming behavior
Select colony genetics
Manage pests and diseases naturally
Grow and sustain healthy colonies
Through hands-on learning and environmental education, TNBA encourages youth to become confident, informed stewards of honey bees and the ecosystems they support.
Guests are encouraged to bring questions and help support TNBA’s mission to educate and inspire the next generation of natural beekeepers.
