Honey Harvest Festival

Join us at the Vista ranch for a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, July 25 for a celebration of pollinators, honeybees & all things HONEY, presented by the Texas Natural Beekeepers Association and Vista Brewing.

From 11am to 3 pm:

  • Honeybee education, including an observation hive, a frame of live and active honeybees in a fully enclosed box with a viewing window

  • Honey tastings from apiaries around Hays County - taste the natural variance in honeys based on what bees have foraged

  • Live demonstrations of extracting & spinning honey

  • Honey food specials from the Vista Grill

  • Trying on a bee suit

  • Kids’ activities including a scavenger hunt, coloring sheets & painting a bee box

  • Hosted walk to the Vista apiary & TNBA teaching apiary

  • Demonstration of how to render pure beeswax using a solar melter

  • Samples of Hive Mind Honey Ale, the sixth iteration of Vista's award-winning collaboration with local beekeepers

  • The release of the 2026 harvest from Vista's onsite apiary, all-natural comb honey and raw honey

  • Texas Natural Beekeepers Association will be onsite if you’re interested in learning how to get started beekeeping. TNBA's mission is to encourage an educated and intelligent nature-centric management of honeybee colonies with the end goal of a chemical-free and sustainable approach to beekeeping and honey making.

  • Hunter's Hive Candles is a a family owned and operated business that sells scented beeswax candles. All of our products are made with pure, filtered beeswax and are infused with essential oils.

  • Beanz Creamz will be onsite with sweet treats! Beanz Creamz is a local ice cream manufacturer who specializes in tapping into your nostalgia by adding our elevated gourmet twist into a portable push pop style container. Everything is handmade from scratch, using commonly found, and easy to pronounce ingredients...you won't want to miss their honey-inspired pop!!

  • Grow Slow is a mother-daughter pop-up shop in Austin, TX, with a simple idea: sell easy-care plants (think cactus, succulents & houseplants), create beauty & teach entrepreneurial skills.
